IVAW: Befriend a Recruiter! Campaign kick off!

17 09 2007

Date:  Monday, September 17, 2007
Time: 9:00am to 9:00pm
Where: CHICAGO, IL
Who: Iraq Veterans Against War

Activists in Chicago will be flooding a recruiting center with non-recruits to the point that the recruiting station is no longer able to function.

Swampies- I don’t know about you but I think that this “stunt” goes beyond the act of war and straight into “war crimes.”

Recruiters have one of the toughest jobs in the military and these Iraq veterans want to kick them while they are down!  As it stands now, Americans are already confused and frustrated with the war and lack of  ’speedy successes’ in Iraq; recruitment for the military as a whole has suffered dramatically.  Yet, these ‘veterans’ feel that they should go ahead and waste our Recruiters’ time and OUR TAXPAYING MONEY by misdirection and immature tactics!

This, Swampies, frustrates my staff and I to no end!

I say let’s give the ‘veterans’ a real fight! Call your local recruiter on Monday and say THANK YOU for doing your country a service.  Better yet Swampies, call the local recruiters for your military AND Police, Fire, and local Government Agency Field Offices.  Let them know that you, as a citizen, appreciate the life they choose to lead and the dangers they face in order to preserve your rights and freedom.

This ole’ Major knows, after they turn on the military, they will turn on the Police and other governmental agencies soon enough.  Show your support and brighten their day.  Give them a dose of strength to face them head on.

Sincerely,

Major S.W. Fox Read the rest of this entry »

‘Iraq Summer’ hopes to isolate President Bush

31 08 2007

(Story contributed by Aaron Blake, The Hill.com)

A coalition of anti-Iraq war groups is targeting 40 GOP lawmakers around the country in a grassroots effort modeled on the “Freedom Summer” civil rights campaign and the more recent initiative against privatizing Social Security.

Aiming to use political pressure as an agent to separate Republicans from President Bush on the war, the “Iraq Summer” will target nine senators and 31 members of the House in 15 states.

Americans Against Escalation in Iraq will dispatch almost 100 organizers around the country. It aims to put up 15,000 signs and 15,000 bumper stickers and to have 1,000 “visibility events” per week for 10 weeks. It will also do advertising and direct contact, including phone banks for all 40 targets. Read the rest of this entry »

Radical Muslims and their annual pre-9/11 march on New York

23 08 2007

(Story contributed by Joe Kaufman and Beila Rabinowitz from FrontPageMagazine)

On September 9, 2007, a pre-9/11 celebration of sorts will be taking place in New York City, as Islamists from across the Tri-State area will congregate there for the 22nd Annual Muslim Day Parade. If past parades are any indication, law enforcement will need to be on high alert, as the participants have been amongst the most radical in the nation. Will the city allow this denigration of a very somber day to take place, or will it remember its many victims of terrorism and shut it down? Read the rest of this entry »
