IVAW: Befriend a Recruiter! Campaign kick off!

Activists in Chicago will be flooding a recruiting center with non-recruits to the point that the recruiting station is no longer able to function.

Swampies- I don’t know about you but I think that this “stunt” goes beyond the act of war and straight into “war crimes.”

Recruiters have one of the toughest jobs in the military and these Iraq veterans want to kick them while they are down!  As it stands now, Americans are already confused and frustrated with the war and lack of  ‘speedy successes’ in Iraq; recruitment for the military as a whole has suffered dramatically.  Yet, these ‘veterans’ feel that they should go ahead and waste our Recruiters’ time and OUR TAXPAYING MONEY by misdirection and immature tactics!

This, Swampies, frustrates my staff and I to no end!

I say let’s give the ‘veterans’ a real fight! Call your local recruiter on Monday and say THANK YOU for doing your country a service.  Better yet Swampies, call the local recruiters for your military AND Police, Fire, and local Government Agency Field Offices.  Let them know that you, as a citizen, appreciate the life they choose to lead and the dangers they face in order to preserve your rights and freedom.

This ole’ Major knows, after they turn on the military, they will turn on the Police and other governmental agencies soon enough.  Show your support and brighten their day.  Give them a dose of strength to face them head on.

Update 5:45pm Eastern. Here’s the AP’s dispatch mentioning some of the arrests of demonstrators who jumped the fence at the base of the Capitol. We were up the steps in the middle of the crazies who started barking “Fascism!” when the police took away the fence-jumpers.

Update 5:00pm Eastern. Well, they came, they spewed, they cursed. Several thousand Soros marchers descended on the Capitol yelling “Fuck Bush” and “Fuck you” at Gold Star Families. As Capitol Hill police arrested the “die-in” participants, young peaceniks shouted “What does a pig look like? The Capitol police” and “Oink! Oink! Oink.” Others shrieked about “Fascism!” and gleefully performed “Sieg Heil” salutes. We’ll have video from the midst of the moonbats. Across from Taft Park, some anti-American demonstrators waving a large, upside-down American flag and pulling a coffin with Army boots got in a scuffle with Eagles. We’ll have that video of that as well.

It’s difficult to make any crowd estimates at this point. The Eagles were spread all along the protest/counterprotest route. From our vantage point, the Eagles were several thousand strong. And many will be back tomorrow and throughout the week lobbying on Capitol Hill. As Col. Harry Riley told me just now:

“We’re not going away.”

The Foxhound Howls from the Trenches of GOE 3

The Foxhound has reported in from the trenches! It appears that the Gathering of Eagles has presented a strong support group of 5,000 plus members while the anti-war supporters have a mere 3,000 (plus or minus)!  The Gathering of Eagles, Free Republic, Rolling Thunder, Eagles Up, and Move America Forward.org have all stood together to fight the ever-growing anymosity of “Bush haters” that attribute “NON-Support of our Military during wartime” as equivalents on the same stage.

Pelosi backs Murtha-a clear shift left

Nancy Pelosi has made a clear choice to support and foster the hard left, anti-war sentiment that has characterized the Democrats over the past few years. Where Steny Hoyer might have had a mildly moderating impact on the House, Murtha is sure to see Pelosi’s backing as an encouragement for his hard line and increasingly reality-challenged tactics such as when he called American troops “cold blooded” murderers.

Prosecuters Doctored Haditha Video

A video taped from a Scan Eagle unmanned aerial vehicle – purported to show the action that took place in Haditha when 24 Iraqi civilians and insurgents were killed – was heavily edited by government investigators, a NewsMax investigation reveals.
